is it right that ixtreme 1.6 will allow you to link ur 360 drive up to your pc to rip original games?

Essentially they're adding the 0800 support for all drives. This means that you can use that drive either in your 360 to play games or on your desk to back up games. If you have the Blaster 360 V1 or NE you could just hook up your 360 to your pc using these devices to do both, play and backup games.

i aint got a blaster, so if i update my firmware on my benq which has 1.51, if i change it to 1.6. does it mean i can play games in the 360, and take it out and link it via sata and connectivity kit to rip games with having to change the firmware all the time

Might be easier to make something like this as it will save you having to open your case all the time.

When you need to dump games you just disconnect one end and plug your sata into it instead of having to take your 360 apart. Might save you some hassle. Not mine as i use kreon drives but seems like a good idea.

Its a diy job. Just google xbox 360 sata mod and there's a few variations.
