Hi i Have a question i flashed my benq with the 1.4 firmware now i want to update i already have a copy of my ofw. So can i load the 1.6 using iprep 006 cause using those other programs seem harder to do. Should i restore the drive to the original state first then put 1.6 on it also is the any post on how to do this whole process. Is the 1.6 firmware a good firmware to use or should i go with the 1.51?

if you are going to use iprep(i do)
first you need to update to RHPG Iprep v.009
you can find it and the new def file for the v1.6 firmware here.
viewtopic.php?f=112&t=48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
after you have those the update the def file
by doing this
viewtopic.php?f=131&t=5574" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
then iprep will load the v1.6 firmware
then just dump/flash the drive like it was stock
just like it was never flashed before
thats all there is to it.

Ok i got my 1.6 firmware from xbins and when i got it i extracted 3 files with it 2 of which i know what they are the text and the bin. Its also came with a activate icon it looks like one of those icons you get to burn the bin is that what it is? Or is there some other purpose for this icon

Once you flash your benq with 1.6, you can burn the activate iso to a DL disk and use it for a few different things. You can use it to put it in 0800 mode to use to rip games like a sh-d162 drive. You can use it to unlock the drive for flashing, or you can use it to put the drive in one shot boot mode. This means that if you have a game that isn't stealthed, you put the activate disk in and the next disk you run, it won't use any of ixtreme's safe guards to keep it from booting. Then next one will be normal boot mode.

Oh i see you if you play on xol i don't do that but there are some pretty smart ppl out there that come up with this stuff. i will examine the video and use iprep 9 that so for everything.
