Write Verify Failed BenQ

Hey, as I have read many similar situations to my own, I just want a bit of reassurance.

I flashed my BenQ with iX 1.6, all seemed to go well, but it shows that the "write verify failed"

I tried once more, same thing, so I pressed outro/reset, put the drive back in the xbox and it boots backups and originals fine. Did it all go ok?

It said in JF that it had wrote, but not verified, and it still plays games.

As you can probably guess I'm just a little confused.

VIA Sata, JF 1.6, iX 1.6. Thanks if any of you guys can put my mind at ease

the steps i took;

1. benq unlock
2. read
3. load ix 1.6, spoof key ok.
4. This is where I think I went wrong, my first flash so I was anxious, I never saved the CFW file I just pressed write.
5. it said erasing, then wrote 4 banks
6. write verfiy failed
7. games boot

Main Question: Does it look like it went ok, or will I have to do it over again?

I think it went ok as the BenQ unlock no longer works and I believe that only works on anything less than 1.5?

If it looks ok I'd rather it stay as it is rather than try again, as I don't feel I am skilled enough to do the half open tray to unlock.

Looking at that log where it says the target file, did you click spoof to target? The keys have to match up.

Yes I did, well JFlasher did it on Auto loading of the IX f/w

I also done it manually, I have just edited out my DVD Key from the Original Post.

As it is all working still the key is not an issue really,

I think its basically because I flashed the Target from the memory rather than saving it as BENCFW.bin

Therefore reasoning would lead me to believe there is no file for it to verify against?

I'm just curious as to why it said verify failed but still works ok.

98% sure it was just because I never saved to file, as I assumed this was just for use with iPrep etc.

Here is the segment from the log.

Man, I would flash it with iPrep just to be safe. There's nothing wrong with taking a little extra time to do things right.

I was going to do that but I have no USB bootable pc's, and Cofree advised against using a floppy.

I think I'm ok, everything seems to be working, just a bug in JF, probably?

I guess the only real way of knowing is making a non stealth backup and see if it boots or not, but if it was a bad flash I guess the drive would just not operate or give me an error.

Any further input would be great.

Cheers

Know that if you boot a non-stealth game you WILL get banned.
