hitachi and jungle flasher

For some reason I can not flash any hitachi's at all with iextreme 1.51 or higher anymore. I am not sure what the problem is, my setup will still flash with iextreme 1.4 via the dos programs. I am guessing the problem is with jungleflasher, as it will not detect the drive half of the time, the other times it will dump the firmware but will not flash at all. If anyone has any ideas I am open to them, I have onboard compatible sata and a via card aswell. Neither will work for jungle flasher. The last 4 drives I have tried have all be 47DJ's but will not work under any circumstances. Please if someone has a guide on flashing via firmwaretoolbox please let me know. As I can read the firmware here too but not flash, when I try to flash it says can not read from drive. I am at a total loss right now with these damn hitachi's.
By the way I am using slax 1.2 for mode B, and using the systems to power the drive.

Do you have a connectivity kit?
You should be able(if JF sees the drive) to put the drive in mode b in JF.

Well I think part of the problem is that you are using the xbox to power.
You have to open the tray and then power cycle the drive.
I don't think that with the xbox powering it you will be able to do this, I could be wrong though.
There might be an older tut somewhere, you'll have to wait for CoFree or Sadalius to get on and see if they have one.

i would suggest you invest in a ck3 kit @ least a non pro kit as it makes everything easier for you. My advice if you do decide to do so, use firmware tool box to dump the key 1st (look up cofrees tutorial on hit drives OLD tutorial) then once you have that done you can tackle jungleflasher. this is your best bet really as again, would make things much easier for you

Like I mentioned I can dump the drive fine, it works every time, but when its time to flash neither program will do the flashing, I am not sure what the problem is. I have done several hitachis flawlessly with the old firmware its just the new firmware that is giving me fits. using JF I mean.

i definitely know what you mean & thus this too has put me on hold for updating to 1.51 however i have a ck3 kit & originally what i was going to do was try to use firmware toolbox & iprep 1.9 however looks like you cant flash 1.51 via firmware toolbox from my understanding (haven't tried it yet though) Now if i can get it up & running then use iprep 1.9 I'd put up a tutorial on how to do it however seems jungleflasher is now the new method to go unfortunately & as much as you dislike jungleflasher like i do becuase of all the errors you run into looks like we have no choice but to try or if i can manage a workaround then great but don't know yet. wil try this weekend when i have more time but until then, i think ur as stuck as i am but my problem is a bit more steep as I'm spoofing the 47dj into a samsung ms28 9currently @ 1.4 & working but want to update) I'll post up more if i can get a solution.
