Sounds like crap!! As long as you're not making backups or selling backups for people then there's nothing to fear.

This is what I don't understand regarding the whole scene. Chips, flashing, whatever is all part of adding additional functionality and how is that possibly illicit. if i add a knob that takes my oven to cook at 11 in order to make minute rice in 50 seconds, am i a criminal...i guess i need to reread dmca

yea thats what i thought i dont see why u would get in trouble for modding the console itself i know you can get in trouble for selling copys of games but i guess the real question here is, can you get in trouble for charging someone money to mod their system???

the trouble is in the backup. never make a backup for anyone,and for the love of your freedom dont ever sale a backup.
If by chance you do .a few words of advice "Don't drop the soap"
and/or a mod chip

if those two things are not involved
then things should be fine.
