benq drive upgrade
I have a benq drive that had an old firmware the was modded in dos . now I have a new pc and bought a connector kit . can i used jungle flasher and upgrade it without bricking it? i had read jungle flasher pdf file do i just mod it as it was a stock drive? or do i need to do a restores like everyone here said in the forum?
Re: benq drive upgrade
Well I don't know who said you had to restore a Benq, but they must've been mistaken. Benq's are among the easiest drives to mod. You can read/write the firmware pretty much at will. Jungle Flasher will only work on specific chipsets but if like most of us you've purchased a VIA 6421A or 6421L model Sata Raid Card you'll be fine using JF. Benqs are really quick when using JF. Here's the Video Tutorial section.
