EXTREME noob Can i use a USB to Serial 9-Pin to extract key

Would this work to extract a key from a lite-on
using CK3 lite version with probe
i havnt got a Comport on my pc so would it work

do you mean when your using i prep?

i dont think it will as when your in dos the usb drivers dont work. im not 100% sure tho

i am about to go buy a usb converter to 9 pin, dont wanna waste my money

no thats why i need one

on the CK3 lite it has a serial connecter with it i need a cable to go into that and then to usb

Ck3liteboard :arrow: serial cable :arrow: serialusbconverter :arrow: pc

It shouldn't be a problem, the biggest thin here is to make sure in JF you choose the correct port. Even if your PC doens't have a com port on it, Windows and JF will usually list at least 1 com port. So when you get everything connected Windows and Jungle Flasher should recognize another port. I had to install the drivers for the Ck3 in order for the usb to work, but since you have the light version it shouldn't be necessary.
