a benq for a benq?

hey all i have a benqvad drive in my 360 the laser is on its way out so i got a new dvd drive(benqvad) for it the same of course. anyway just want to know is do i put my dvd key in of the old benqvad an then put it back in my 360 an all good or Wat? if not could anybody tell me Wat needs to be done? and maybe direct me to a guide? would be appreciated for any help. oh by the way was planing to use new jungle flasher to do it with if that's OK? thank u.

Yeah, you need to put your old drive key into the new drive if you plan on spoofing it.
I personally would use JF. But if you're using a VIA card make sure you have your drivers uninstalled.
After that it's pretty straightforward. Dump your original drive, load your ofw as the source, load the hacked fw as the target. Click spoof source to target, then flash your new benQ with the new cfw you just created.

thanks mate for clearing that up. just out of curiosity y do i need to uninstall my VIA drivers? wont i need them wen i flash? no diss mate you obviously know ya stuff just curious thats all.

well if you have the same model drives you wont need to spoof anything at all. If you use IPREP to read your firmware from your old drive.
then if you have a good key from that just flash your new drive with the firmware that you ectracted from the old drive and everything will be the same as before

If you're just doing a Benq there's no reason to disable the drivers. The only time you really need to do that is with the lite-on drives. I keep my drivers disable because I'm constantly doing all kinds of drives, I have a second PCI sata raid card that I use for excess drives and plugging up my 360's HDD to.

If they are both BenQ's,just open the drives up and swap boards.No need to flash.
