here's a broken hit to a benq copied from another forum
.Open the ixtreme1.5 folder you downloaded and right click on ix15Benq.bin and click copy.
.Go to your desktop and right click paste.(We do this so you don't patch your ix15 original in case you need it for another benq someday)
.Plug your Hitachi into your PC with whatever method you use xbox/connectivity kit and make sure it is on.
.Open Jungle Flasher and go to the 'Hitachi GDR3120L' tab.
.Select your drive in the dropdown box (HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR3120L004)
.Click 'Send Mode-B'
.Click 'Open' and the drive tray should open (this means all is good and we are in Mode-B )
.Insert a RETAIL DVD or RETAIL 360 game and click 'close' the tray will close.
.Make sure these circles are all selected;
Drive Revision=46/47
Transfer Method=Classic
Flashing Options=Dump Drive
.Click 'Read To Source' and the read will begin.
.A window will pop up asking you to save your Hitachi-OFW.bin...save it.
.Jungle flasher will now be at the 'FirmwareTool 32' Tab with your hitachi-OFW.bin open in source(you will probably get an error telling you no target firmware has been selected just click 'ok')
.Click 'Open Target Firmware' and select the ix15Benq.bin you copied to your desktop
.Now click 'Spoof Source to Target' this will inject your key into the ix15BenQ.bin and spoof it to a hitachi47.
.Click 'Save to File' and a window will pop up asking you to save Benq_CFW.bin...save it.
.Exit Jungle Flasher, unplug the Hitachi plug in the Benq and power it on
.Open Jungle Flasher up again and go to the 'FirmwareTool 32' Tab.
.Click 'Open Target Firmware' and open the Benq_CFW.bin you saved.
.Go to the 'MTK Flash 32' Tab. Your Benq should be recognized under 'Drive Properties'
.Click 'Benq-Un-Lock' and wait for it to finish.
.Click 'Device ID' and wait for it to finish.
.Click 'Erase' wait for it to finish erasing and verifying.
.Click 'Write' wait for it to finish writing and verifying.
