Hi

i have problems with a BENQ I am trying to flash with Iprep v. 9.
I use a floppy disk because i DONT have a working USB pen.
When i load into dos with the floppy, I put in "dben 1234567 12345" and press enter twice. Then it cant find any ATAPI drives, and cant find the benOFW.bin file and stops everything. I follow the tutorial but this never happens to him. What am I doing wrong???

Check your computer setup....go over the steps again most likely your sata chip set not installed properly.

Not much info about your setup!

The ben-ofw.bin error appears because it hasn't yet been extracted as the first step fails.

What SATA do you have? VIA card?

Try Jungleflasher

I have change the RAID to NON RAID in the bios. but what I find change it that iprep cant find my other hard disks even if I let them stay connected. One other thing is when I create the iprep disk and choose SATA controller, and port. the number differ from the ones in DOS?
very strange....

EDIT. I have just gotten the port numbers to be the same now, but still it cant find any drives or the benq

hi I have tried jungleflasher and i cant get my benq detected in windows. tried eveything so I would try iprep, so see if that worked. i have via chipset 3149... I have prior to this flash my benq to ixtr. 1.1 with MTK flash.

Well the chip set here----->VIA VT6421A Chip Set <-----is the chip set that is the most used for flashing as some of the other chip set give you heartburn when setting them up. That would be my first change to the setup.....next install the viamraid drivers....use iPrep to flash Benq's as it is the most straightforward method.

okay. thx for the advice.. after trying a couple of times now it will go as far as to reading the banks. how long is this supposed to take onto a floppy disk? i have waited some 5 min, and the first bank is not finished yet..
I am affraid that it has stalled... is it safe to reset the pc now or what can I do?

I know it takes a while when using a floppy but 5 min on one bank seems inordinate...Since your just reading most likely no issue....but then again no guarantee either. you never specified if your using a connectivity kit or not...
