I'm trying to flash a Samsung TS-H943A ms28 drive and I cant get the computuer bios to read my VT6421A card. I've downloaded all the current drivers and I can find it in windows, just not the BIOS. When I open up my Bios setup, it finds the card, but not when I try to flash it. I've linked some pictures as to what problem I'm having. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

First it looks like the correct card. MAke sure your drivers are installed properly in windows you can check that by Right click on My computer, then properties, then device manager. i if you have a yellow question mark against your card then its not installed properly
This is a screen dump off iprep with the via6421 card attached pic attached
You can get the new iprep (the version you will see in pic from here
viewtopic.php?f=112&t=48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You will need to update the ixdef file with this
download/file.php?id=703" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
this is the file location if you have installed it to c:
C:\Program Files\iPrep\Resources just overwrite the ixdef file

In the device manager, I have a yellow question mark for the card, but I cant find any driver files to update the driver with. Just that RAID program I always find for it which I've shown here:
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/2835/raidp.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
EDIT:
Actually, nevermind. I found the card in the device manager.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6550/driverm.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Why does it list it as a 3249 card and not VT6421?

Ok I finally got the right drivers installed for the card and it's reading as a VT6421A. Reflashed the USB with the new driver and STILL no luck in DOS. Yes, I have everything unplugged on my PC except for the XBOX 360 drive. It brings up port C880 (Which is my VT6421A card) but shows it as empty.
This is REALLY getting my angry as I've been searching forum after forum, post after post, and still cannot track down the problem.

http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/6028/img0120e.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ---- SAME error message in DOS.

Even though most people criticize jungle flasher for freezing up a lot i think its better than iprep, ive only ever had 1 problem with JF which is when i forgot to disable my via drivers, this caused my lite on to lock up, thanks to CoFree's video on how to unlock lite ons i was on my way. After disabling them ive flashed a few lite ons in seconds. With the newer and more stable versions of JF coming out its even easier flashing your drive, if i was you i would have a look into JF, see if you change your mind. If you need help just let me know and i will do whatever i can to help a fellow modder

I've spent about 5 hours trying to get this to work. I really don't want to spend another 5 trying to learn another program. Thank you for your suggestion though. If all else fails, I just might have to learn another program.
My card has 3 sata ports. I've tried all three. I've switched sata cables. I've done everything in a very specific order step by step. I actually got the damn thing to read my card, but it said "No Identity". I tried do the vendor/power cycle thing and it didn't work. Ended up getting a "bad flash chip" error or something like that. Now, it doesn't read my card at all. It just reads it when it wants to. I think I've exhausted all my options.

Alright.
I found out the problem. The problem lies in my xbox. The xbox is just flashing a green light. Doesn't stay steady.
I hooked up another xbox to the sata card and to my suprise, the card recognizes the xbox and works fine. I don't know what I'm going to do about the xbox just flashing the green light. Is it supposed to flash green whenever you are getting ready to flash the drive?

First of all you should use another way to power the drive to flash the drive. The xbox 360 uses a floating ground when flashng and can cause rogue current and ruin the drive. To solve that if you really don't want to use a connectivity kit, hook up a wire from the 360's case to your pc's. It must be metal to metal. Second, you must have your av cable hooked up while using your 360 to power your drive while flashing. The 360 will never know what's going on with the drive, and frankly it doesn't care. So the LEDs on front doesn't matter.

See that's what I thought it the first place too.. The XBOX is pretty much irrelevant in this instance as it is just used to power the drive. Sorry I didn't mention it before but yes, I do have an alligator clip attach to my xbox and my pc tower, and I also have the AV cable hooked up. I just cant get the damn Iprep program in DOS to recognize my drive, or my card at all .

I had a problem with iPrep (or actually DOSFlash) semi-freezing when it detected my card while the SATA cable was connected to the drive. When removing the SATA it listed the card fine.
I then used JF and flashed it without problems!

Aright I don't mean to be a bug, but could someone point me in the right direction to JF? Everything I would need to flash my drive with JF basically...Please?
