Hi all

3 weeks ago I Got the ck3 tools that I ordered.I took apart the 360 & got the info off the drive, followed the tutorial on flashing the drive
but missed some steps with jungle flasher. No big deal,I thought,I still have the drive info. on my desk top.But when I rebooted all the folders(I-xtreame) & all the drive info.was gone. Not thinking that such a problem could occur without deleting folders,I never backed up the info..Turning the 360 into a paper weight.

I realize that the key for the Mobo & the drive have to be the same in order for it to play games but if I was to put in info from another drive would it be able to stream videos & music. And if it does could someone possibly send me the 3 .bin files to flash the drive& at least
the 360 would be able to do something.

Eventually I am going to buy an arcade, take the info. off that drive and put it on the messed up one & put that one in the arcade.

Thanks
davewill

Hello, all the folders disappeared? Did your PC crash or shutdown unexpectedly?

Which operating system are you on?

Have you tried any data recovery methods? I would not give up on that before resigning to having a almost useless box, if the data "was" there it is "still" there.

Do you have any applications for this? I can recommend,
TuneUp Undelete which is a part of TuneUp Utilities & another called GetDataBack, which has a FAT and NTFS version,

You just scan the drive that the files were on and if they are recoverable then they will find them, really unsure why files and folders would just vanish unless windows performed a diskcheck on reboot and found bad clusters, if that is the case, enable viewing hidden folders, In explorer go to Tools\Folder Options, then go to the view tab, and change the radio button to say, show hidden files and folders.

Now go back to the drive the files were on, and looked for a faded folder called "found.000" they may be in there.

Have a try at this and let us know how you get on.

I have windows xp home.I checked hidden files for that folder & was not there. What I did was I disconnected My D drive from the Mobo, then hooked ck3 to the sata port on the mobo & hooked up the drive & probe.Got the data off the drive with no problems. The data was on desk top in c drive in a folder called I-xtreame,so I thought I had sucessfully flashed the drive so I disconnected ck3 & turned off the computer to reconnect d drive to transfer the folder to d.When the comp. came on the folder was gone & the drive info along with it.I looked into Get data back just now & I don't have another drive I can install windows on to recover the folder from c drive desk top.Since I had that folder disappear I have run speed up my pc & other cleaning programs due to spyware. So I don;t think the info is retrieveable.I will try tune up utilities & get back to you.

Used .bin in search criteria,no files found
If I used someone elses info. can I stream videos & music
Thanks

Hmm that is strange, few questions, how many user accounts do you have on your pc?

It is possible the files are on the Administrator Desktop, rather than your user account.

Also you don't dual boot do you?

Try setting the pc back the way it was when you read the data, just on the off chance. Unplug your D: drive and boot.

I am the admin,no dual boot, also did a restore but the files were only on the comp. for 2 hours & I used jungle flasher.Right now the 360 has corrupt firmware because I didn't really know how to run jungle flasher,I was dead tired and the only info. that I put into jungle flasher was I-Xtreame firmware when I hit write.
So the power button flashes red & comes up with E-64 error. So I want to flash any info on it so that it will at least stream music & video's from my comp. until I buy an arcade console. If I did that would it work.

Thanks for your input

Yeah I understand about just getting it going man, but It's the files going awol thats puzzling me.

Your account may have Admin rights but have you actually logged in as "Administrator"?

Another option is PC Inspector File Recovery which is freeware.

I've attached it for you below.

I don't think that you are going to flash it with any FW and it will work. You need the specific Key information from that drive.

Sorry man it sounds like it is game over.

Thats what I'm thinking, thats why I'm trying to help him recover these files, they must be there somewhere.

Hope he has a bit of luck.

Check this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\"User"\Desktop

Remove the "" and put in Administrator.

You can flash the drive with any Xbox 360 firmware and it will at least get you to the dashboard. But I'm with Hyperdrive on this, files just don't disappear. If you were close enough I'd just come to your house and mess with it. I love a good challenge. LOL.
