get the IP of the hacker and make sure its legit then post that w/ the mac and that computer will be down in a day

haha well this hacker isnt attacking us in the first place, sounds like he is ddosing a different site thats hosted on the same server we are.

Plus there is not very much you can do with an IP. If somehow you do anything malicious, the 'hacker' can just get a new IP from his ISP with 1 phone call, or if hes lucky a power cycle of his modem + router.

Not only that but he more than likely used a proxy.

Then again the hacker could have cloned some 1 else mac address and ip like they do in UK. PAY £50 and get a modem which is cloned from some 1 else. I havent done this just saying that its widely available

I highly doubt he's using just his computer. DDOS from one computer if for effective at all. You'd need to have a few thousand hitting the site, or host all at one time. Just a little FWI on that.

On my old website (which was a forum) some kid was attacking our site with a ddoser because he was banned. He was doing it by himself, and sometimes had help from 1 friend. Whenever he did it by himself, the site would always go down.

Im pretty sure most ddosers run multiple threads, and make loads of connections per thread.

of course it depends on your host too. You can easily test this out yourself if you have at least two computers on the same network. It's not as easy as you might think to stop net services by ddos all by yourself. He may have said he was by himself, but you can bet he wasn't.
