Hi Everyone, I have a 360 elite with a benq drive, I followed the tut hacking the xbox 360 for dummies, I have an intel sata controler not the via or nvidia as in the tut. , so i followed the instructions to solder the drive. I could not get anything to work so I returned the drive to its original state and just put it back in. now my drive won't open and the eject button just keeps flashing. I have done some reading and some say that it is stuck in mode B??? Can anyone give me some help, even to just get it working again, or if I have to replace the drive can I retrive my drive number?? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Benq drive does not require soldering. Only the lite-on R707 needs soldered and if you have the right stuff, it don't need soldered then.

Check over what you soldered and make sure it's completely unsoldered and nothing is bridged or a splash of solder didn't hit somewhere that it wasn't suppose to.

The tut that I was looking at must have been wrong, I did double check, the tut said to cut 2 tracers and install a switch, took the switch back out and repaired the tracers, other than the way it looks should be back to normal

I don't know what kind of trace repair skills you have, but I wouldn't go on looks alone. I would use a multe-meter and check those traces. You may have already done that. Other than something like that, I don't know man.
