Drive Worn Out?

Hey guys, JW what your opinion on this is, I think my drive is wearing out, or just crappy in the first place....
(I am using a hit 78 flashed with 1.51)

(This has happened to me probably 10 times or more)
I will be playing an original disk, say gta iv or something I havent backed up, then a couple friends want to go play cod 4 or 5 or something, so I grab my backup of the game, put it in my drive and I get the dirty disk error or the please place this disk in a 360 console.

So then I turn off my console and turn it back on, and the game boots and plays 100%

Also yesterday I bought prototype and backed it up then burned it. The burn was complete but I didnt have time to try it because I had to go out. So I checked it this morning, and I get the dirty disk error, and cannot play the game. (I have turned it on and off a few times)

So what do you think guys? Laser starting to go? My burner sucks? Hit's suck? My MIS Verbatims suck? 1.51?

Oh also, I didnt check with ABGX, but I checked this morning and I had a bad angle, but I am on 1.51 so that shouldn't matter?

the flash is fine as long as it plays some backups

yea
it dont mater about the playing

if it was me i would
get a drive i have around and spoof it in and see how that worked. if it fixed the trouble, then you would know it was the drive for one reason or another.
most probably that is what is wrong.
something with the drive or laser

And lasers for those things are pretty cheap, about 10$ with shipping.

If it were me, I would get a sammy, benq, or a lite-on and spoof it and trash the hitachi. Thats how bad I don't like hitachi's!!

How easy/hard is it to swap a laser? If theyre that cheap, I may aswell try and swap them, if it doesn't help, I guess I can make a laser pointer ;)

haha I expected you to say something like that :P :P

I guess what I will try is when my buddy gets his xbox back, ill check what drive they gave him, and if its not a lite-on ill mod it for him, if it is, ill try and convince him to buy me a ck3 in exchange for me to mod it.

Im just hoping its my xbox and not my burner/kreon drive.

Lasers are very easy to replace there's only about 3 screws that have to be removed. And 99% of the time the laser will recalibrate it's position on startup. But in that off chance it doesn't you just have to move the laser to the back of the drive (furthest from the motor) and then turn it on with the 360.
