a popping noise then 3 rrod

i was trying to internalize my 360s hd, and i had everything hooked up, turned the power on, heard a pop and then i got the3 rrod. what can i do to fix it???????

Might be an idea to send it back to m$ if all warrenty labels are in tact

again... i was trying to internalize the hdd. so the warranty sticker is defenatly not intact... is there anyway to fix it?

I don't think were are going to be able to provide an accurate answer on this. Your going to have to determine what POPPED. It sounds as if something shorted out when you hit the power so what you need to do is meter out your components find out whats blown and if you can find suitable replacements and decide if you have the skills necessary to do so. Now I may be totally off track here, but going by the description, thats what it sounds like.

i think it was the drive. you probably overpowered it and it popped. or the cable was up side down
It could be other things. You'll have to figure out by yourself what happened

thanks guys, after a few days i figured out that there was a bit of solder connecting the usb pins together so i got out the solder sucker and now it works 100%
