Bricked Benq?

I finished doing a spoofing job, I took the FW from a m28 along with key and put it into the BenQ FW.

Thus now the new benq drive is spoofed with the m28 stuff.

When I used JF to do the spoofing, i had the Benq unlocked, and in firmwaretool 32 tab i used the spoofed file as the source file. And In the target file, i used the same file (the spoofed file) I did the writing, seemed ok, but now the drive doesn't respond/open or anything?

Any ideas/clues/suggestions?

Please, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Did you click on Outro/ATA Reset button after flashing, this might solve your problem.

What I did was wrote/flashed it with the spoofed FW that I made with the MS28 original file and the Benq file from the new Drive.

Right so you used the ms28 as source and BENQ original as target then clicked spoof source to target and saved the spoofed BENQ firmware then obviously flashed, if im correct you NEED to use hacked firmware to spoof. Does the drive show up in windows at all, can you set it in vendor mode again?

Just a minor correction, you don't have to use hacked firmware to spoof. I've done a few stock drive swaps where hacked firmware never entered the picture.

Also you said you got the firmware from the "new" benq. Is that a replacment ordered from any particular website or spare parts from a previous machine. New drives don't come with any operational firmware so you would need to build the firmware for the replacement benq with operational benq firmware. If it came out of another xbox then what you did should've worked but it obviously didn't. In that case I would start with relfashing the drive.

Are you asking how you do it or did Kanobi do it? if your asking how to do it then your hi-jacking the thread man, start a new thread if your stuck, its the forum rules not to hi-jack other peoples thread.
