Lite on issue with Windows XP

I have my Xbox and I was trying to update my drive and I am not able to. I have been having some issues with my comp and with the connectivity kit. I have tried to flash a drive in DOS and it does not recognize my lite on drive. I use jungle flasher and the same thing happens. It tells me that no drives are detected. I have VIA disabled and Portio installed. I don't know what else to do.

Would The USB cable have an Impact on the drive appearing in Windows?

i would use jf....i would use the onboard sata dont use the via....it will freeze...have you tried checking the ports...like 0070 and so on...use both usb and com port...and dont forget the tray half open

I would try using an RS 232 cable. I have had better luck with that. What type of drive is it?

I actually figured out that it was a bad SATA cable. I replaced the cable and everything worked flawlesly. Thanks for the input.
