CRC Checking self made backups?

I was wondering if you guys were doing the crc(32) checks with either Schtrom or Mulleter for self made backups? I have made several backups from my originals and was often getting the "game not in our database method" message and the like. I rip using Schtrom and a Samsung 162D Kreon 1.00 firmware. All other stealth checks are passed. Do I need the crc checks? Been searching for quite a while for an answer.
Thanks in advance.

if you are dumping with a sh-d162c drive or one of the drive like it
you will have all the stealth files you will need
dumping with xbcv2.7 and Schtrom360

Sorry for beating a dead horse...
Rip all backups from originals by myself with Schtrom or XBox Backup creator using Samsung 162d + Kreon 1.00 Passed all stealth checks. No need to run CRC checks. Using a 360 flashed to 1.4 ixtreme right out of the box. As safe as we're gonna get right now on Live?
Paranoid......

That's pretty much it. Cofree did a tutorial with three different program stealth checks that you might want to take a look at.

Ok, so the last thing written basically said if the game wasn't found in the database, that Mulleter couldn't fix the problems and to dump with a sh-d162c dvd drive.
So... I don't have a lot of money, or even a little bit, to go and buy one of those drives. All I have is this NEC ND-2510A that I flashed and it worked fine when I backed up my Call of Duty 4. But for Guitar Hero 2 it gives me the game not found in database when I try to autofix under the CRC tab thing. I tried to burn without doing anything, just my regular backup file (bad idea), and of course, the game didnt work (this was before I knew what I was doing... which I still sort of don't). So, can anyone give me a suggestion that doesn't involve buying anything new that will allow me to burn myself a backup copy of my Guitar Hero 2?
I rip using WxRipper, fix with Mulleter Beta 10, and burn with ImgBurn. As I said before, my COD4 works perfectly. Any ideas? Thanks.

What brand of DVD drive does your 360 have? If it has a samsung or a benq, you can download the 0800 firmware, you have to get the samsung or the benq 0800. they are specific to each drive. Then make sure you have a copy of the hacked firmware thats one your drive currently, then just flash it with the 0800 firmware. This will make it to where you can use the drive on the PC with Xbox Backup Creator version 2.8 and rip your games like with an sh-d162c. When your done ripping, flash the hacked firmware back. I know its a pain to flash back and forth like this, but when you don't have the money to spend on the right equipment, you do what you have to do. You need to be careful if your able to do this and try, if you loose the dvd key, then your 360 would be bricked.
This only works with the samsung and the benq drives though. Hitachi's won't work. You'll also have to have a way to connect the drive to your PC as well.

its a NO go
i cant believe that GH2 is not in the data base.
well the only thing left for you to try is what sadalius said about flashing the 0800 firmware and backingup that way

Thatd be awesome... also followed your video for checking stealth files and all in like the 3 different programs or w/e... and I used schtrom, hoping it would work, but when i click check stealth or w/e it says no XBOX image file. ss is invalid. Im guessing thats bad... is it just my game or something or am i ripping it wrong or what?

if its not ion the data base
i dont know how to help.
just give it some time
im setting up to try the benq 0800 firmware .
if it work that would be one way that you could try if you have a benq drive.
what drive do you have in your 360
