Hi All,

I having a bit of an odd day with this lite-on drive. It was originally flashed with i1.5. I extracted my all the bin files with JF 1.62 using dummy from iextreme. Everything went well, I was able to erase and flash the drive with 1.6, confirmed everything and now it wont play any games orginal or backups.

The only issue I had was, which I was not too concerned with, was that the CK3 never ejects the tray when pressing the eject button, I have do it manually.

What I fear is that somehow, it extracted the wrong key, and now Iam stuck with a $300 paper weight.

Any suggestions?

Well you have a situation..... we will need more information from you for us to help.

Did you save the original key to a file when it was done successfully?

Stop manually opening your drive...if what you mean by manually is with a screwdriver or paper clip. this is not going to help the situation.

If the CK3 will not eject the drive assuming it's a working CK3 you will have to go to DOSFLASH to revive your drive. please let us know some more details

I had a previously flashed lite-on with ix1.50, a friend had done it, working great until wave 3 games came out.

I used JF with the CK3 to extract the bin files; key, identity, inquiry, dummy; using the dummy from itreme button in JF.

Created the CFW file, and proceeded to erase the drive and write the new firmware. The erase and write went fine. I followed sadalius' video guide to do all this.

I have hooked up the drive back to my pc with the CK3 and dumped the firmware again, after flashing it, and it does state that its ix1.6 and shows the correct key according to the originally extracted files.

The only issue that I had, and found a bit strange was that the drive will not eject when pressing the eject button on the CK3 when I originnaly connected it to extract the bin files and now after flashing. It loads and ejects fine when its in the console, although it doesnt play original or backup discs. I am surprised the 360 does not give some kind of error about not being able to load the games. All it says is either eject tray or close tray.

What I mean by manually ejecting the tray, is that since the CK3 wouldnt eject the tray, I manually ejected by pushing the slider bar to release the tray. I set the tray half as per the video guide and JF did state the drive was in vendor mode.

Now, is my CK3 defective since it wont eject the tray?

Did I possibly extract a bad key? Even though ixtreme 1.5 was already loaded?

Just an update:

Decided to get a VIA sata card, and now I am looking to get a refund on the CK3 Pro kit, since it was never able to eject the drive tray, maybe it was faulty to begin with, which means that most likely it extracted the wrong key, and now I have a X360 paper weight.

On a happier note:

Since I had given up for the moment on this unit, I decided to purchase another one. Went to Sam's Club to pick up a 60GB Pro Bundle, which is the one I currently have, $299. When it rang up at the register it was $191. I thought it was strange, but the cashier said thats what it was, I didnt argue with the lady. But, it gets better, I went to pick up the unit at their electronics shed, the guy looked all over for it and didn't find it. He double checked the sku number and it came up on their system as an X360 60GB Pro Bundle w/ 2 games. The only units they had left were the Elite with the 2 game bundle. So the guy looks at me and says "it's your lucky day, you get the Elite Xbox for the price that rang up, $191"

My Jaw dropped, then I just said, can I get another one, then he smiled and replied "Not at that price"

Now Im gonna send this unit to Sadalius to work his magic on it, dont want to mess up this one up.

Wooh you struck lucky there as the elite also has a 120 gb hd..Sweet.
