bad flash

i've seem to have messed up the flash on my hitachi 46 drive but i flashed the drive i did make sure that i backed up the drive key which is 32 characters long....what do i do from here? can i restore it some way manually? i used jungle flasher for the initial flash

If you have the key, you are in the best position you can be.
What is the drive doing now? Can you eject it? does your console give you any errors?

ok i seem to have fixed it
i flashed the key sector then
then i did restore and reflashed ixtreme 1.51
i tested it out with a original game and it work but a burnt one didnt work
i thinnk it cause i used fujifilm DL...does the type of DL matter that much?

Yes it does. I find Hitachi's are pretty picky with the type of media they play.
Try a memorex, and if that doesnt work, you will probably need to use Verbatim's (Made in singapore, look for "MIS")

yea i find that some hitachis and samsung drives have trouble reading anything but verbatim disk. benq and light-on usually will read about anything. Benq's being my favorite drive
