hitachi v47 freezing while flash ixtreme

I was flashing a hitachi v47. I pressed flash ixtreme. Then it frezzed while it was writing sectors.
whats the problem. Now the drive will not respond. what should i do?

Try again, but you'll have to eject the drive manually. mode B might have to be done with slax as well.

I cant get any respond from it . Its like dead? and what is slax

Well your going to have to manually eject your drive. Which means your going to have to use a paperclip or something to turn the gears that will open your drive.
Slax is a CD that will enable you to get your drive into mode b if you are unable to. Open your drive all the way, power it up, then remove the power, and send mode b. then plug the power back in. You should be in mode b, if not you will need to use the slax cd.
Also, are your via card drivers enabled? If so disable them, that may be why your comp froze while flashing

You may want to look into investing in the via card, it may help you with lots of your problems.
