Sony Go! Explore GPS module

Hi has someone some experience with a modded psp and the PSP gps antenna ?
The thing is someone i know has a modded psp and bought some Sony Go! Explore GPS module but as you can guess it doesn work.
Firmware is 5.00 m33
The software loads, in options you can go to gps reciever the sattelite is red but no coordinates , in the main map it keeps saying looking for position, if the antenna is unplugged then the icon turns gray so it surely detects the antenna.
Could it be that it needs some kind of pluggin ?
