Hi I am in the UK and I am haven problems finding verbatim 2.4x i can only get verbatim 8x . when i burn the verbatim 8x i am only get about 5 out of 10 disc that are success rate. When i used the verbatim 2.4x i was geting 10 out of 10 success rate. dose any one no were i can buy them in the UK. and will verbatim disc from the USA work ok with a pal xbox

all you have to do with the x8 is lower the burning speed when writing

i have tryed that 2.4x and 4x and it does not work for me it might be my burner

i would proberly agree i use x8 but at 4x speed, also i have used very very cheap disc and they worked fine,

The 2.4x is usually MIS, your 8x may be made in india, or the Philippines. MII or MIP are lower quality, and will reduce the quality of your backups.

Just go to your local stores, and see if they have any verbatim's, then look on the label for some chinese characters, and read around there, you will see in small print where they were made.

Your burner probably only supports 1 speed for DL media.
