Robin Hoods Playground

so here goes............

I purchased an elite off of ebay with good warranty seal and it stated would read games (would play movies). I got it in and it had a lite-on drive so I ordered usbextractor from canada and got it in yesterday. I just got time and messed with it today. The warranty sticker looked good and I opened the console. When I did the dvd drive had two of those foil tapes and it looked as though the sticker was broke on the side of the drive. I read it with the extractor got all the information and use Jungle to open the dummy as firmware source then i opened benq ix1.6 as target and clicked spoof to target. I erased the drive and flashed it. every thing seemed to go well but.............It is still not reading any games originals or backups but will read dvds. What can I do I am lost at this point. also when i put game in drive it says put in an xbox 360 console to play. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

maybe it is a PAL xbox.
Have you tried any PAL games?

As far as I know it is like that : Only read DVD's = FW problem
Does not read anything= laser problem

I tried call of duty 5 region free and it gives same message. Anymore ideas?

open your firmware up and have a look at your key. sounds like you have a faulty key

if you get "to play this game put it in a 360" normaly means bad key

try and reflash the drive!! also did it work b4 you flashed it

I bought it off of ebay and that is how it came. I have tried flashing it again with no success. I just says play dvd and screen says put in an xbox 360 console to play. Only reason i bought was for a spare and it had warranty sticker. I dont know i have tried everything I know.

did you try the console b4 you flashed it??

do you have another drive??? that you can use to test it just in case its a faulty drive.

I had a fulty sammy come to me would play any dvd and music, but would not play a game. I flashed the spare drive with the info from the sammy and it worked.

I did try it b4 and all it would do is say play dvd as it does now. I do have a spare benq and spoofed it to the lite-on with the key and all it does same thing.

i would say you have a wrong key then mate.

well just my luck. I am reading the benq now just to make sure the correct key is in the firmware. Also you think I could put the warranty sticker back on and send it in to Microsoft and they fix it? Thanks for all your help and quick response.

well they will put it on a computer. there realy not nothin wrong with it also they will look into that more.
