First time flash

I finally had everything in place, i got back from the hardware store with a set of torx screw bits. and the discovered another warrenty seal on the disc drive! is this normal? i have a DG-16d2s liteon; manufactured november 2008.anyone managed to preserve this sticker? HELP!

Yeah they have a small paper sticker on them. If you heat it up with a hairdryer it should come straight off with a sharp blade but take your time and go easy.

I thought as much, im just a bit wary of blasting hot air all over the drive. i dont want to melt anything.

You wont melt anything, the drives case is metal and quite large, I would be amazed if you could even heat the drive up enough with a hair dryer that anything inside is warm.

To take off this sticker, its pretty easy, just 10 seconds of heat with a hairdryer should do.

Keep in mind when your drive is in your xbox is gets quite hot there is a heat sink under it.

Well isnt it all fixed now? So good thing you did preserve the stickers, if anything does go wrong you still have your stickers
