iPrep problem

Hello everyone. I'm trying to update my previously flashed lite-on (1.5) to 1.6 with iPrep v9 from the downloads section and the updated Def file. When I booted off my USB, I just typed flit 1234567 12345 and didn't bother with the dump because I still have my files from the first flash. After I hit enter, the next screen said "LitCFW.bin for 360: 1234567 12345 does not exist- aborting!" I went back into Windows, made sure litcfw.bin was in there, which it was. I added the key, bin, inquiry, and dummy files I had from my previous flash to the backup folder just to see if it made any difference, which it didn't. Any clue what to do? Thanks a lot.

edit: I'm using the Maximus Xtractor and have my drive connected to the PC with a sata and whatever cable it is that I connect to the COM port (R2 something?).

Was your original dummy created using iprep or through jungleflasher? There is a spelling discrepancy between the too programs. JF looks for a certain file name, while iprep looks for another. If your dummy was made through JF, that could be why iprep isn't finding it.

If you used iprep to start with, try re-dumping through iprep again and see if it works any better.

I used JF to make the original dummy. I'm gonna try dumping and all again with iPrep. If that doesn't work I may try getting info from JF then using the recovery method in DOS.

Hm, now I'm getting "...1234567/12345/dummy.bin does not exist."

ok, so you ran dlit 1234567 12345 and redumped it successfully?

Then ran flit 1234567 12345 and got that message?

Hm, I'm not sure how to do that in DOS. It can see it in JF though.

Still not working. I tried dumping the key in JF just to see if it worked, and it's saying the COM port isn't recognized. There are 3 COM ports listed. Two if them are associated with my phone, so I tried the other and it's not working. Weird.

Think I should just try the recover method?

Edit: and if I did that method, what would happen if I got my PCB info wrong? I can't tell what 2 numbers are for certain, but can make a guess.

Well alright. Long story short, I extracted the key and whatnot again using JF, fixed the serial info, created the FW and then did the steps for recovering a freeze up in JF. I'm currently playing an original game. I'll make a backup of a game tomorrow and see if it works.
