Apple pulling popular apps at the request of At&t?

Sean Kovacs wrote an app called GV Mobile which is used to compliment Google Voice on the iPhone. It works really well too, I've been using it for quite awhile. Sean recently got a notice from Apple that the app was going to be pulled from the store for 'duplicating features already found on the phone.' For those unfamiliar with how Apple rejects apps, this is sort of the 'irreconcilable differences' excuse for marriage divorces. Essentially they don't have a good reason and don't want to explain any further, they just want to part ways.

Many speculate At&t had a hand in this. Interestingly, Google's own GV app had been rejected by Apple in previous weeks :?

Sean released GV Mobile over Cydia (free of charge) with the reasoning that his work should at least be able to be enjoyed by others, even if Apple doesn't approve
