This is a guide on flashing the 0800 firmware onto a LITE-ON 162DS drive.

****IMPORTANT****
Before you do this make sure you have a good copy of your key, as some times when dumping the 0800 fw the key is not guarented to come back.

For this process you will need the following:
1) ix16-liteon-0800 Firmware
2) Iprep
3) usb device or floppy

Lets get started

1) Make a bootable usb device to do this you will need to make the device in iprep ( use the normal liteon ixtreme FW)
2) Open the device up in My Computer
3) You will see a folder called backups, open it
4) Create a folder inside the backups and call it 1234567 and then open that and create another folder called 12345
5) Inside the folder called 12345 you will need to copy and paste the ix16-liteon-0800 into that.
6) Rename ix16-liteon-0800 to litcfw.bin

Once you have done that it should be like this backups\1234567\12345\litcfw.bin

Connect the power to the drive and leave the power off to it.

Now boot into iprep

1) When at the C:\ prompt connect sata cable and turn the power on to the drive
2) Type FLIT 1234567 12345
3) Follow on screen prompts
4) Select W for (write)
5) When asked for the file name give litcfw.bin
6) Your drive will now write the 4 banks of information

Thats it you have flashed your drive with the 0800 FW

Yea I think it was, should be litcfw.bin. Hope that helps you and he'll probably change it next time he's on. Thanks!! :)
