hi well thats a plexi glass i used and my dad owns a double glazing company so he had all the tools. i had a guy who cuts the glass cut the plexi for me with right dimensions. i used a drill first to make some holes on the shell and then there was some type of hand machine and i used that to cut the shape. i couldve just got a realy smooth shape with that machine but i was adament wiv ma dad that allow machine and i will sand it by hand which messed it up a lil bit and i gav up after half an hour. i also used a flat cutter to cut inside of the case which had plastic comin in the way so i had to flat the surface up from inside. after everything i used a glue forgot which one it was and quick drying solvent which i sprayed afterwards for it to dry up quick.

with ny friends xbox i took bit of time and this time i knew what i was doing so i cut his one much better than mines. i did not use the sanding paper but used the machine instead which gav it a better finish. i will post those picz 2.

yeah i have a dremel tool so i can cut out a design, i just dont know how to make the plexi flush to the outside of the shell. unless i can just cut the plexi a half inch bigger all around and sand down the edges... i dont know. great case. post up your friend's so we can see what you did with that one.

I doubt you would ever get it to look good if you try to get the plexi flush to the outside of the shell. I imagine he cut the piece a little big all the way around and glued it to the underside of the housing.

hi yeh i glued the plexi inside as it wasn't looking too gud outside. i saw other peoplez windows they've done exactly the same way as i did, well got the idea from them in the first place. yeh my friend shud b sendin me picz ny second but he doesnt have lights installed yet but it stilll looks nice.

anyone know if i could purchace the original shell from somewhere so that i could cut more nice designs this time.

even if you try cuttin the plexi into two pieces and sticking it outside it wont look good. best bet would be just to cut one piece and slightly bigger than the cut so that you can stick it inside.

It looks good besides its kinda crazy cut.. You should use lexan for the window very easy to cut and to secure it you can actually put screws to hold it together then put apoxy over the holes of the screw to fill over then sand everything and itll look awesome. If you want the window to be flush like mine you just use lexan thats twice as thick and router it out to fit the window(Slow process but works great) Then it will be nice to not have glue everywhere.. But anyways very nice machine you got there friend.
