Huge heat sink. Defaut on New Elites??

Yea, the large heatsink is part of the jasper motherboard, jasper is the newest generation of the console, so any new console's will have the large heatsink.

ahaa i though it was a bit dodgy because the mobo still has the 4 holes for the original heatsinks to fit into must be a custom fitted one, i see they have taken off the little heatsink that comes off the gpu heatsink, i wonder why?

I think that was only around for like 2 generations, maybe only 1, I personally like it, but I guess it wasnt very effective, or wasn't need with the newer chips.

well with the mobo using less power the chips wouldnt heat up so bad, maybe thats why they removed it i cant wait to see how bad of a disaster the xbox 720 will be lol microsoft havent really made good progress with the xbox 1 and xbox 360, xbox 1 didnt really compare to the ps2, xbox 360s always get the rrod (except the new jaspers ofcoarse! )

The 720 will likely not have any overheating issues, or any high failure rates. They pushed the release ahead too far and released the xbox when like 1/3 were failing or something like that I think the failure rate went as high as like 50%. They lost quite a bit of money dealing with the repair's so I'd say they learnt their lesson.
