Hello

i tried to flash my benq VAD6038. its an elite console.

However everytime i try to flash it (as in first stage of dumping,), it doesn't want to toggle between 0x51 & 0D1 for some reason.
I have a sata card via 6421a. I took out the card from my existing computer and put it into another computer and tried flashing again but still i had the same problem.

I don't have external power supply so i always kept the drive in the xbox 360 and just connected sata from pc to xbox.

When i tried this i always removed any other hard drives and cd rom drives as well. i have also always made sure i entered in serial number in correctly.

can someone please advise me on what to do now.

thank you.

Try a different usb flash drive or use the floppy and see if that doesn't do it. Some flash drives are not compatible.

here are some things to try

D1 not flashing (for BenQ) :
What that means is the computer is not seeing the 360 drive. There are many different thing that can be causing this problem.
Chipset will not work
Try a different port on your sata card. The port closest to the front most of the time is the one to use.
Try a different sata card
Try a different sata cable
Put the sata card in a different pci slot
I would try this just for kicks before the next step.Try a floppy maybe that will do it (don't hold your breath)
You may even need to try a different computer. This is rare how ever it will happen some time.

this can help when you are having trouble have a look.
