Hello. I was wondering how to go about this. I'm about to get the new iprep and was wondering how I would update it to the latest ixtreme 1.6? Thanks. I still have the backup firmware if its needed. Hope it still works on windows 7 :O

What program do you use to flash iprep or jungle flasher?

I use iprep it seemed a lot easier back then and i dont think jungleflasher was available at that time. I have to make the usb again, I think I deleted the old files. Any ideas?

You can either make the firmware in jungleflasher and rename and copy the firmware into the backup 1234567 12345 folder and go straight to the flash in iprep or use just do it from scratch with iprep like its never been done before you're sorted.

I just flashed it, opening the xbox was a lot harder hehe. I used iprep to dump the my modified firmware, I already have a backup of my original. Then I proceeded to upgrade to ixtreme 1.6 with dben. Is that right? So far it seems louder I had mine at 8x. Can you not choose to run the drive in 8x mode? I saw something about 1.6 ixtreme 0800, what is that? Do I need it? So far the backup games and the original arcade disc works but is there a way to know if 1.6 is loaded before I put it all back together? Thank you everyone.

nope 12x is the only supported speed, the 0800 is just for dumping games. you can stick a wave 3 backup in to see if it plays or read the drive in jungleflasher or load the cfw firmware you created into jungle to check but as long as the fben was succesful and its playing backups already i'd say its done. Good job.
