I take it your flashing a lit drive. what it means by making a backup of your FW is just copy those 4 .bin files and paste them some where safe. With you key does it have any repetative digits?? or you can pm your key and ill have a look for you

if your key looks like a bunch of random numbers and letters its good. If it looks like 0000000000000000000000000 or FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF or 7777777777777777777777777 its not good...

No its not a lite on, it's a Benq White and grey wire. They were all random numbers nothing that looked repetative, so my questions is where are the bin fileslocated that I want to copy and save? Are the located in the Benq iXtreme folder under 12x or something???

i read it wrong if you are you are using iprep go to the root of you usb/ drive and you will see a folder called backups and inside that you will find a folder with 7 digits open it then you will find another with 5 digis open it. you will see a file called benofw.bin thats the file you want to copy and paste a few times.

If your usin JF im not the best with that as im IPREP all the way

the bencfw.bin file is the hacked firmware (iXtreme) which is flashed onto your drive keep them both if you want the main thing is the ofw file

Great thanx for the help is this 1.41 firmware okay or should I look into trying to get the 1.6 to replace it and if so is it real difficult to do?

idealy you want 1.6 as that will play wave 3 games. Its not hard to do, you will just do it like the drive has never been done before. The main thing is the OFW file that you have now keep that safe.

Whenever I try to use that one under the iprep listing in hacked firmware on xbins it keeps telling me no valid firmware loaded

i presume you have iprep installed in c:\program files\iprep

goto that and you will find a folder called resources. In that folder you will find a file called ixdef.

down load the attached file and replace the one in the resources folder
