Hitachi-LG DVD Rom V 79FL - dont have original FW

My friend had his xbox 360 modded by a place that went out of business, it has Iextreme 1.4 on his drive.
Can i use Junglerflash 1.6 and upgrade his drive to the latest firmware without having the original key file ?

As Far as I know it is possible. Someone correct me if I am wrong
Open up jungle flasher. Unlock the drive, Restore to Original, then flash with the new Ix Firmware. Lock the drive

Yeah cain your on the right track What your best doing is dump the fw first, as if you just restore it and flah and something was to go wrong then you will be left with a heavy dvd player. Im not the best with hits but im pretty sure JF has original fw for those drives
