ok i goofed up big time here...

ive been flashing now for about 3 years... and for what it seems it had been pretty simple..i must sad i need to give some thanks to cofree and all the others who have posted tutorials and what not to help me out...
now i plan on learning the lite-on drive which is why i just made my purchase, but come to find out the brought the wrong stuff.

now of course i did use the search feature like i have been. but theres a problem.. looks like when ever someone had this problem. NO ONE answered it, which is why i am re posting it..

now my problem is simple and can easy be fixed.. i brought
1. CK3
2. maximus Spear

now i know i can just create my own spear and what not with a simple safety pin.. but i am trying to avoid that.. i do want the nice pretty LEDs.

How do i connect those 2 together... using the 5 pins that the SPEAR has.. im pretty sure all i need it just 2 or 3 of those wires and not all 5

Think he wants to just get the led's working Lee. Theres a thread over at xecuter which is the same guy i think: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48424" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; In all honesty i wouldn't mess aroung trying to get the leds to light up as its just more things to go wrong with the dump but each to their own. Bit of a strange one as the plugs for the probe/spear are completely different and designed to match up to the ck3/xtractor so i don't know if it's possible as the pcb's may be different.

That was the only thing i could find too. The ck3 probe fits in line with the dvd lead but the maximus probe attaches to a seperate port on the xtractor, you could try tracing the leds with a multimeter ( don't know if you can see where the wiring links up as i've never had a spear) then splicing them into the dvd lead but it seems like a clart on for nothing. but yip a diy one works great. Keep us updated on how it goes.
