Liteon flash: Froze during erase using Jungleflash

Post by hav0kk »

Liteon drive: dg-16d2s

I was using jungleflasher 1.66 in the middle of erasing the firmware my pc froze and now I can't get the drive to eject at all. Any help would be beneficial as now I can't continue.

I have the dummy.bin and all but I just don't know how to backup to a position to attempt this again.

I leave the floor to you veterans of the trade as I have a feeling someone has got to have done the same thing.

This exactly what's going on. My only concern is adding the right files and removing the correct ones for the thumb drive

I have Iprep and formatted my drive but I wasn't sure to this point as and some of the files he stated sounded different than what I was using... anyone tell me which ones in particular would be greatly appreciated.

ok so get your dummy.bin file and load that into your source firmware on jf.
then load your ixtreme 1.6 as target
click spoof to target so the keys match up

Then click save to file and save it as litcfw.bin

open iprep and load your ixtreme 1.6 repack and check both boxes. then click start (take a note of your primary port)

open your flash drive and click backups. then once there create a folder and call it 1234567 and open that new folder you just made and create a new folder called 12345

place your litcfw.bin file in there . it should look like BACKUPS/1234567/12345/litcfw.bin

Then boot into your flash drive and type flit 1234567 12345 press enter

Follow the onscreen instructions from there.

Also make sure u dissconect all your pcs hardrives and cd drives before u boot into iprep

Hope this helps

Post back and let us no how it goes

I attempted what you stated and recieved an error that there was no source firmware. so I was stuck there :(

I originally attempted to type flit 1234567 12345 but nowhere in the prompts did it allow me to enter that

all I was able to do is enter L74 XXXXXXX XXXXX and thats when I got the error message (x indicate numbers I forgot for serial number of drive)

ok man when you are in jungleflasher load the dummy.bin as your source firmware. this is what you pulled from the drive when u clicked get key in jungleflasher. When thats done u load your target (lite on xtreme 1.6) then click spoof to source. Then save it with the filename litcfw.bin.

I can help you via remote assistance if needed mate just send me a pm with your msn addy and ill guide you.

Are you using IPREP 9?? if not revert back to it, then when you boot into it you will get the c:\ where you can do the flit

I'm at work now, but your right on the Iprep I believe I was using Iprep 10v. Currently my biggest issue is syncronizing my software versions to video and reply support. thanks for helping cause I know i'm close to getting this resolved.

BTW: Thanks for your help I really appreciate you guys walking me through this. Big thanks on linking the video, really helped me understand what was going on as well the step by step on Iprep v9. will the Iprep 8.9v listed in your older programs be sufficient with those steps?

Does the fact that this Liteon might be a 0800FW v74XX change anything within the tutorial? I saw another tutorial listed recently and it looked the same to me.

did you flash the drive with the 0800fw?
No I just saw that as part of my serial number I suppose it was just coincidental. N/M :) I thought maybe is was just another piece of the ever diverse puzzle of flashing my xbox

Thank you I'll use your way as a back up seeing as I have had little success with Jungleflash. I am just glad there are a few alternatives.
