drive replacment case

Post by GRASSASS »

hi guys iv just got my new BLUE - Ghost Case Ultra Pack v2 for my fav girl :)
the drive is a lite-on which i thought was a phillips drive ?
cos the drive case is compatible with benq & phillips but im having a bit of
a problem fitting the clear replacement drive case ? did i buy the wrong 1 ?
am i wrong thinking the lite-on is a phillips ? will it go on ?

the rest of the case looks sweet :) iv wanted to do this for a while & now
and now i have a spare case to give a proper nice paint job :)

but please let me know if i can fit this and i am just looking at the thing from the wrong side

Can you post a pic of the drive case? Benq's are very similar on the outside to a lite-on, but the insides are somewhat different. So that might be whats holding you up.

Thanks for the pics man. I'll have to wait till I get home so I can look at my lite-on drive and see for sure. I can't picture in my head what the insides look like. Am very familiar with the underside of the drive though ;)

It looks like the one on the bottom should fit to me. It might need a little modification or something, but without actually having one in front of me to try, I can't say 100% though.

So far on all of the clear case pieces that I've seen, most are identical. I've got one piece that I use as a display model and it' s been on hitachi, samsung, and benq drives. Just keep playing with it, I'm sure you'll figure it out.
