Post by adultswiivi »

so i just bought the ps3 slim.

i hear all this bullshit about how you can plug the AC cord in backwards.

i think this is all crap. the cord can be pluged in both ways. and far as i know AC run threw both wires. so it wouldnt matter....

any input on this...???????????

overall the ps3 slim is great. i give it a 10
i dont like the online stuff compaired to XBL
XBL is the best !

the ps3 slim does get hot. but its not like HOT it will burn
its a tad bit more than warm. but im not worried. i have been playing the hell out of it and it only gets so hot. me and my friend where playing killzone 2 for about 9 hours without shuting off the console. ciggarett breaks here and there and it stay about the same temp.

i wana see if it will break before my 30 day return at gamestop is up =)

I am probably going to buy the Fat ps3, since it doesnt get as hot, and I think it looks better
The HDD does not matter that much, since I will only have a few games.

Oh ok that answers a lot of my questions. About it getting warm i mean if you played it 9 hours straight and nothing has happened then i mean it shall be good. Also have you had any problems of games freezing?? I forgot about killzone 2 how is that game.

well i just compaird my friends 80gig and his gets WAY hotter. my slim is deffinelty not getting hot. its getting warm. his is HOT

9 hours on my ps3 slim dont compair to 30min of the 80gig *heat wise*
i would deffintely say it runs cooler now that i can compair.
also, guys i work with have the 60Gig and they say theirs runs SUPER hot. and the have inner coolers because of this.

I have had *ZERO* problems with freezing. ive seen videos and heard about the 3.0 update causing uncharted to lockup and the XMB to freeze. havnt seen a problem yet.

i think alot of that is from PS3 haters spaming crap cuz they love xbox. *my 2 cents*

KZ-2 is OMG OMG OMG freakin` sweeeet!
soo much stuff going on * explosion, bullets, vehicals crashing its insane* Helgast AI is impressive to i must say. Not to mention the sick @$$ 1080P graphics! OMG they are the best console graphics i have ever seen! ! !

cant seem to get the X Y sensitivity for aim right... just gotta get used to it.
im used to COD4 on the xbox

MY FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE WITH THE PS3 SLIM IS OVERALL GREAT! 8-) ! THE EXCLUSIVE GAMES ARE SICK!!!! 8-)

A friend of mine once told me not to buy
PS3 slim if you already have PS3 or Wii..
You'll just be wasting your money, well
that's according to my friend. So, I'll not
be buying that... :)

before i start i dont know if on the slim the power transformer is out of the ps3 (like the xbox) if it is inside like the phat ps3 then all you are doing is pluging into a transformer, then the voltage is rectified after the step down in voltage.and answer to "AC threw both ways" yes it dose thats where hertz comes into it in the UK we run on 50Hz,so every second the cycle changes 50 times, thats why street lights seem to flicker.....AC THEORY at its best
