Robin Hoods Playground

OK so just on sunday my xobx 360 got the RROD and i m giving up on the 360. I was just wondering though because i want to move to the PS3 is the Slim as good as they say it is. How hot does it get? Does it make the disc hot? Has anyone have any problems with theirs yet? If I buy a PS3 what game should i get for my first one i was thinking of these

1. Little Big Planet
2. Call Of Duty 4
3. Metal Gear Solid 4
4. Batman (2009)
5. Infamous

I will for sure be getting these games when they are released

1. Modern Warfare 2
2. Assassin Creed 2
3. Splinter Cell

So many games to choose from and not that much money. Also how long is the warranty when you buy a PS3 i thought it was 30 days but i have read that it is 1 year and can you get an extended plan. Just wondering all this before i buy on. Also has anyone found out a way to backup games so that you can play them on the PS3. I have seen some vids but not to sure if they are legit. What do you think. Thanks and i hope someone can answer all of these questions.

Thanks CoFree for making that clear. I thought that there was no way to play back ups put was just making sure.

If one day we are going to be able to play back-up games on the Ps3, it wont be on the slim, since you cant install other OS like linux

The reason the "hackers" have left the ps3 alone is because they can run Linux on it.
now that you cant run Linux on the ps3 slim
my bet would be they will jump in it with both feet to hack it open.so they can.
Its just a side effect of there hacking that lets us run backups.

That is what i m saying soon or later someone will find a solution.

If Netflix can stream PS3 games to a playable disc, then there is a way. I'm just not that educated enough to do that. But there is a way. It is out there.
