my benq drive

hey all ive got a benq drive which was brought brand new of ebay no key with it not requiered i think anyway i put it in my 360 that had a nuked benq in it worked great but after a wile the 360 hanna chip went pear shape so i have another 360 with a Hitachi in it flashed it worked sound now months on its started to whistle (the drive) still works but sometimes it wont read discs? ive cleaned the lens but no improvement. so to the point! my benq of ebay i want to replace Hitachi with it because its a new drive can i just use my Hitachi drive key with benq ixtream1.6 to spoof an flash(new benq) or because ive already had it in another 360 (benq one) do i have to treat it like ive taken it from a brought from shop 360. ie spoof the Hitachi ofw with my old benq ofw then spoof it with benq ixtream1.6 then flash? any help thank u!

Yeah you can do that, use jungle flasher to create the hacked firmware for your benq to work in your xbox 360 that had the hitachi drive in, to do this all you do is dump the hitachi drives firmware, open that firmware as the source firmware in jungle flasher, open the ixtreme 1.6 benq firmware as the target, click spoof source to target, then save the hacked firmware, then go on to flash the benq drive as you normaly would in jungle flasher.

Thank u mate for that just out of curiosity wen u take a drive from an xbox that the drive came with to another xbox y do ya have to spoof both keys first then spoof made key with ixtream ? just curiouse thats all? but thanks anyway!

The key from the drive must match the key in the 360's mobo. The bios is full of information and security protocols. If just one digit from the key in your drive is not identical to the key in the motherboard it will only read and run dvd movies.

Thats correct what technoe said, you key in the dvd drive MUST match the mobo key otherwise you have yourself a good looking dvd player lol, if you have any problems at all just drop us another post ;)
