Hi guys Im having a few problems flashing a liteon 74850c.I normally use iprepv9 to do all my flashing, and ive been flashing systems since feb of this year,so im not a master yet or anything but i know what im doing lol.anyways my old pc that i used to do all of my drives crapped out on me last month,so i got a new pc with asus board 2 on board satas and i have my old via sata card that i had in my old pc.I no longer use iprep, not by choice but by force, because for some odd reason after i make my usb bootable,(in iprep)and i turn off my pc,unhook all power to all drives(hdd's dvd/burners etc.)iprep wont boot up for me with this new pc.if you guys have any tips as to why i cant get it to boot up please help, but on to jungleflasher..i started with jungleflasher v155 hooked up my liteon using ck3,made sure jungleflasher saw my drives and that everything was in the correct ports(witch they were)went on to extract the key using my probe,i got 6 readings of the same key witch came back valid.then i run into trouble i went into liteon erase clicked ok,then clicked ok again powered off drive then on,and i get status 0x50 i tried to get this to work for about 5 hours and nothing..so these are my problems i also tried jungleflasherv166b and i get as far as auto loading the firmware for some reason it wont load..im using ix151 still...once again thanks for the help in advance, and im sorry for such a long winded post.

i have asus mobo and i had the same problem, couldnt load from usb.
thats what you do:
go to the bios, and then boot menu,
it shows you the boot order and below the boot menu there hd menu and cd menu.
make sure on both that you push the usb stick to be first and itll boot all right.
Best

Make sure your tray is half open when you do the erase. You have to have it half open, click the erase command, cut the power, within 1 second turn it back on, and it should give you a 72 status. If thats what youve done, you will need to play around with the tray position...
As Kwmnh said, you will need to go into your bios and change the boot order. Personally if I boot from usb, I just go into bios, and select the device I want to boot from.

ok i've gone into my bios a number of times and i've set the boot order to boot floppy first, since im not familiar with this new board maybe im just not getting deep enough into my bios...?but i'll try again to set the boot order and im about to try jungle flasher again as well i thought i had the try half open,or should i say far enough open/closed..do the drive have to be half way open to get the drive key with jungle flasher?because if not then thats mostlikley my problem the whole time i had the drive somewhat open and i figured since i extracted the drive key just fine i had the disk tray open far enough..im gonna try it now..

do you use VIA card or on board sata,
obviously there's a communication problem with the card.
which asus mother board you have, i would say try one of the on board sata.
use intro in JF to find the port you at.
if you keep working with VIA, if you have more then one port on the VIA, try all of them.
Best,
Leo

The only help I can really offer is to play around with the tray position. Every drive I have done, the tray has been about 3/4 shut, and have never had a status problem.
I know lots of people have had this problem, and have played around with the tray position, and have got it into vendor mode.

On my asus board in the bios there is a option for usb legacy support this should be enabled and in the boot menu i have to have my first boot set to removable device and in that it must be set to usb zip, asus also has a hidden boot selection menu, try tapping esc at the first startup screen, its sometimes very awkward but if you get it right you can select any of the drives on the system to boot from.
