Spoofing BENQ to LiteOn
Posted: Wed Sep 23, 2009 10:58 am
Hi,
My friend has a console with a Liteon drive inside it but its playing up. Rather than buying a new drive I have a spare working Benq lying here so we decided to spoof it over.
I loaded the BENQ into JF and made a BENQ-OFW.bin, saved the Key.bin and also took a note of where the key was located.
I then loaded up the BENQ ix1.6 fw and then hit MANUAL SPOOF, I loaded the Key.bin file up, then I loaded his Liteon file up, then picked it to be a Liteon like he has already.
Then I saved it as BENQ-CFW SPOOF.bin and went to WRITE, after it was done I hit OUTRO.
When we plug it in and try it when we play an original game it gives us the white please insert the correct disc into an xbox logo... if we put in a backup it comes up just a plain XBOX 360 LOGO.
Can someone please help us sort this
Thanks,
-R
