Robin Hoods Playground

Hello,
I have been trying to flash a liteon drive with the CK3 pro + probe..
I tried using the usb to serial cable that came with the CK3 kit but then read on iPrep that this can't be used (after 3 hours trying getting really annoyed)..
So today i went a brought a db-9 RS232 9 pin female to male as instructed..
I wired everything up but then i get the same errors after inserting the probe and pressing any key to enter..
It says that drive firmware could not be loaded and no files can be found and then skips and says please check all connections.

Wondering if i am doing something wrong, this is my first attempt at a liteon and it isn't going to well so far so all help is appreciated..

Have u tried selecting a diffrent com port in iprep?
Also do u have jungleflasher?
I can guide you through jf if u like

I only have 1 com port.. which is COM1..

I tried jungleflasher but it didn't recognise the drive which i thought was a bit bewildering..

Ok what os are u using??
And also have u installed the portI0 drivers??
These are needed so tht windows can see the drive

No i haven't installed the drivers as i haven't been told about this..
I have Windows 7 and i have flashed samsungs, benq and hitatchi's using this pc..

But because i only built it Chirstmas just gone it doesn't have serial ports so i am using my old pc in order to use the serial cable and not the usb cable as iprep doesn't support this..

Ok well the portI0 drivers are only needed for the flashing in jf
Would u like me to guide u through that.??
Its hard to say what could be wrong with the iprep issue your having
Maybe the wrong lead? Or your port could be broken??

If u want help with jf ill be more than happy to guide u through it

Err okay then sounds good i'll let you run me through it then..
You got any other easier way of communicating then other than posting on here?
