Hi I recently tried to flash my friends Hitachi GDR 3120l Drive. I used Jungle Flasher v. 1.66. This is my third flash job and it has been the worse so far . I have a ck3 pro. I opened Jungle flasher and got to the unlock 79 part after entering mode b and jungle flasher froze cause my puter to freeze. Now the drive is unresponsive in jungle flasher. It wont show up or anything. Ive tried to redo the steps and nothing. The drive does howver respond to the ck3 ie open and close. I would really appreciate any suggestions u may have. I am running windows 7 and have all the neccessary drivers installed. I have successfully flashed a liteon and a benq so far. This site is awsome. Keep up the good work.

Could i please ask though if you were flashing an Hitachi 59 why did you try the 79 unlock ????

Thats only for the Hitachi 79 drives.

staningrimsby is right, the 79 unlock is used for 79's only...

I would recommend trying mode b button on the ck3 first. Push the button to change the led to red. Connect the drive and power it up, test it out for mode-b. If the drive is still opening/closing, then you should be able to get windows to recognise it in mode b.

What SATA are you using? Most sata works fine with the hits, but the older ones (32-59) are simply a pain in the arse - they don't respond well with anything being done to them

I got it sorted guys. After panicking and creating this post i went through end checked everything. Turned out my antivirus deleted my portio driver. So I reinstalled and bam. I used the unlock 79 feature on accident. I had the wrong tutorial up. Thanks for your quick reply's.
