i have a NEC DVD-RW ND-3550A is Not reading my DVD is there a way i can fix this problem

i put in a new memorax cd dl disc it wont read my cd or my friend let me borrow his verbatim dl disc it has a game in it i tried to put it on the drive it wont like burn the game i wanted to put the verbatim disc that has a game to load up to burn again to see if it works but it doesnt i put a cd-r and it burn i have a dl drive idn whats wrong man

hi for games xbox360 you need dvd+r dl .for wii games & moves dvd-r and for music cd
soft ware imgburn
some wii games need dvd+r dl
set layer break in imgburn to (xbox360 games) 1913760 for wii dvd+r dl 2084960

yes you have to use dvd+R DL disks
