Hitachi drive wont open or respond...PLEASE HELP

Hi guys
I feel real cheeky as this is my first post, but i've read through all your tutorials and found them excellent, i havent had any problems like this before, but could really use your help.
I've successfully flashed benq's and samsungs in the past, but i've just tried a Hitachi 3120L. I managed to get Jungle Flasher to say flash successful, but it still wouldnt play the copied games, so i tried it again. Anyway, i dumped the original firmware, but something happened, and it closed.
Now the xbox wont even open the drive using the eject button. Is it because there is no firmware on the drive? It just flashes and doesnt respond. How do i flash the original firmware if the drive is not even recognised, or even responding? Or have i completely screwed the drive? Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers guys

Can you post your jungle flasher log, there may be something in it that can help. Either that, or explain in detail what went wrong.
Hitachi's are not very forgiving, and most times, the PCB needs to be swapped, or you need to just all together buy a new drive.

Unfortunately my PC crashed so the log wasnt saved, i do have the original firmware though, that seems to have been dumped successfully. But now it just wont respond through the xbox, or jungleflasher.
Is there anyway of spoofing it, or writing it manually to the drive, even if its not responding?

With hitachi's not really, the only thing you can really try is FW toolbox, some people have had luck with it when JF has failed.

I have the original lite on drive that came with the xbox, will that still work? I just hope i havent screwed up the xbox.
I can always buy a new drive, but will it make a difference now if i put the original lite-on dive back into the xbox?
Will it screw up the lite-on drive, or will it work ok?
Cheers mate, i tried the toolbox, but it wont even pick up the drive to dump the firmware on it.

Well, the lite-on drive seems to work, no probelm.
The hitachi drive is bricked, i get that E 65 error message when i boot up the xbox. I've looked at the tutorials to fix this, but it just seems far too complicated.
Anyone wanna broke hitachi drive? haha

You can buy a new drive, but there is no real point if your lite-on works fine.

ok even if it doesnt show up on your computer in jf just make sure its plugged in and press mode b and then restore to original firmware. Give it a try. If that doesnt work consider selling it to me as I am in need of a hitachi drive
