[HELP!!] Lite-on 74 problems with Iprep 10.7

Post by massiveman »

I have done some benqs and sammys but now i bought a ck3 lite kit with a probe and i bought a serial port and a VIA 6421a card the problem is when i get to that step that u have to connect your spear to the r707 hole and the message that appears to me after that its this:

Source Firmware not found

File not found - KEY.BIN
File not found - L74DUM.BIN
Drive firmware reading failed
Double check all connections.

I dont know what i did wrong, i double checked the connections, i connected the sata cable to the internally sata port of the via card not to the e-sata port, but i dont know if i have to install some drivers for the via card or for the serial port the kit is well connected the spear turns blue and the kit does that also i hit the eject button and it works , so any suggestions guys ? im sorry if this is a noob question but i have searched and nothing seems to fully answer this problem
PS: I am using win7 64 bit operating system but i am using iprep so i am guessing that it doesnt affect the process

That looks fine, make sure the drive has the tray half open. Leave the ck3 off but plugged up. and sata un hooked wait for the comp to nooy into iprep then connect sata power on ck3 and follow the guide. You made need to slighty have the tray a little more in .

yeah i am but wouldnt i need a ixdef ? Other thing i would like to try is with the iprep 9 do u have the ixdef and download link please ? another question i would like to know the diference between iprep and dosflash i dont get it ...

Cause i cant get the message that says "to receive the drive key use geremia's dvd key method" i am guessing that it is a message generated by the iprep but i simply get the error message like it says above in my post

iprep 9 download/file.php?id=614" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

ixdef download/file.php?id=889" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

the failed to get geramia key method normaly means when the probe is not on the correct via or the comp not recevin the signal. I couldnt comment on dos flash as i dont realy know it all that much im iprep
