I flashed my friends 360 and he has a Lite-On 74850C and now it won't read any discs, it says reading for a couple of seconds then says open tray. It does that with any disc movies, backups, oringials, etc. I checked the dummy.bin with some program called DSDBfixer and it said everything was ok. I have flashed lite-ons before and everything went good, I don't know what happened here. I flashed with Jungleflasher v0.1.66. Please help!

When you say a few seconds do you mean about 1 second? If so, check the laser. I had a drive come back that wouldnt read anything it would say reading for 1 second then open tray.

Check that the laser is in the correct position, in my case the rails needed to be greased, and the laser repositioned and it worked like a charm.

On the other hand, you may have damaged something in the flashing process?

Mine is just like the one in the video, I didn't record that video but my drive does the same thing. Is there any way to fix it or should I just buy a new drive?

all that vid shows is the laser trying to see a disc when it done it stops.
if that drive will not read a dvd moves(orig)
then the drive is bad and or laser is bad

a dvd drive will read a movie even if you flashed it bad

So, should I buy a new drive, theres no way to fix it?

Well if it worked fine before the flash, but now doesnt even read DVD's you have damaged the drive.

You will need a new one.
