Creating OFW from extracted hacked FW??

HI guys I'm new to this board. I am having a problem, my computer's HD died and I lost my OFW.bin that a I had saved when I flashed my xbox 360 (Sam ms28). I have since extracted the Hacked FW from the drive, but I'm stuck at this point. Is there a way to take the drive key from the hacked FW and create a OFW. I would greatly appreciate any help. A step by breakdown would be much appreciated.

Well technically you don't need the ofw as the most important bit is the drive key which will be in the cfw you've dumped/created so its nothing to worry about. Save it to a few different places in case it gets erased/lost etc.(best way is to email it too/save it onto a disc,write the key down etc). However if you need to return it to stock you could always get an original firmware (google it) and just reinsert your key into it with jungleflasher. If you use iprep you can rename the ofw you've created with jungle to samcfw.bin then put it into the backup/1234567/12345 folder and go straight to the fsam command.

Thank you dalecheesy for your detailed reply. You are correct, I want my xbox in stock firmware condition. I just downloaded an "MS28 A" original firmware to insert my original drive key into. What do I need to do in jungle flasher or fw toolbox to extract the key from my cfw and insert it into the ofw that I just found online?

Load your dumped firmware into the source tab in jungleflasher (dont auto load the ixtreme) then load the ofw you've just downloaded into the target then click "spoof source to target" The keys should now match then click "save to file." and name the .bin (either samofw.bin if you want to save as an original to avoid confusion or if you're going to use iprep then the same as above samcfw.bin) and you're good to go.

I successfuly flashed the drive back to the original fw, now it's ready to be shipped to microsoft for red rings of doom repair. Thanks!!!

not saying that's not why they sent it back but i've flashed many drives that have gone back because of hardware erros and they've all been repaired or replaced. . . so i don't know man, i just don't see them putting in a copied game to see if the drive is modded. . . the average person is going to do the minimum requirement of their job. so as long as your warranty label is in tact. they're going to address the problem you specified.
